Several reports have come out that suggest that the New England Patriots have made the decision to waive CB Leigh Bodden.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked the reports but wasn’t willing to comment on the issue at this time. Bodden will now have to pass through waivers before he can sign on with another team but there’s a good chance that someone will claim him.
Bodden re-signed with the team back in 2010 for a four-year deal worth $22 million but he has been dealing with a number of injuries this season. New England’s pass defense has been a popular subject this season as they currently rank dead last in passing yards allowed so it’s not surprising that changes were made but it is however surprising that the team made the decision to do so now as CB Ras-I Dowling has been hampered with an injury of his own recently.
