Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots haveย agreed to terms with OT LaAdrian Waddle on a one-year deal.
Waddle actually visited with the Cowboys last week, but reports had said that the Patriots wanted to bring him back and it appears as though they were able to get a deal done in the end.
New England is trying to replace Nate Solder, who departed in free agency for a big-money deal with the Giants, and Waddle should at least get a look at there.
Waddle, 26, wound up going undrafted out ofย Texas Tech back in 2013. He spent over two years in Detroit before he was waived midseason and later claimed off of waivers by the Patriots.
Waddle played outย in the final year of his three-year, $1.485 million rookie contract before signing a two-year contract with the Patriots back in 2016.
He’s currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017 Waddle appeared in 12 games for the Patriots and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the 64 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
