Patriots Release DL Marcus Forston & TE D.J. Williams

 

The New England Patriots announced that they have released DL Marcus Forston and TE D.J. Williams on Thursday.

Forston, 24, originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2012. He later signed on New England’s practice squad three times before signing a future/reserve contract witht he team back in January.

He has appeared in four games over the course of his two-year career and made three tackles.

Williams, , is a former fifth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers. He spent two years with Green Bay before he was waived and later claimed by the Jaguars. The Patriots signed him to a contract in November of last year.

Last season, Williams appeared in nine games, but didn’t register a single reception.
