Patriots TE Dwayne Allen Expected To Miss A Few Weeks With Knee Injury

Michael Giardi of NFL Media reports that Patriots TE Dwayne Allen suffered a knee injury on Sunday and while he won’t need surgery, the expectation is that he’ll miss a few weeks.

The good news for New England, however, is that the Patriots are on bye and TE Rob Gronkowski is set to return.

Allen, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Colts back in 2012. He signed a four-year, $29.4 million contract that included $16 million with the Colts in 2016 before he was traded to the Patriots last year.

In 2018, Allen has appeared in 10 games and caught three passes for 27 yards and no touchdowns.
