ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Oakland Raiders are “likely” to sign free agent QB Matt Leinart.
Leinart has drawn very limited interest on the open the market, but the Raiders could probably use a better backup than Terrelle Pryor in case something were to happen to Carson Palmer at some point during the season. The Raiders new offensive coordinator Greg Knapp actually worked with Leinart the past few seasons in Houston, so there’s an obvious connection to the team.
