Raiders DE Bruce Irvin Reportedly Available For Late-Round Pick

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Raiders are continuing to explore trade possibilities for some of their veteran players including DE Bruce Irvin.ย Interestingly enough, Pelissero hears that Irvin is available for a late-round pick.

Another name to watch for the Raiders, according to Pelissero, is CB Rashaan Melvin, who has had a disappointing first year in Oakland.

Over the weekend,ย Adam Schefter reported that Irvin has come up in trade talks,ย but no teams have been willing to take on the $8 million base salary he’s owed this season and another $9 million in 2019.

Irvin, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He spent four years in Seattle before signing a four-year, $37 million contract that included $19 million guaranteed with the Raiders in 2016.

Irvin stands to make base salaries of $8 million and $9 million over the remaining two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Irvin has appeared in six games for the Raiders and recorded six tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble.
