Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders are in discussions with free agent CB Rashaan Melvin.
- Pro Football Talk reports that the Raiders will host Melvin for a visit on Friday.
The Packers and Raiders have been the two teams in recent days to reportedly express interest in signing Melvin.
Melvin, 28, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois back in 2013. He has played for a few teams since the Buccaneers cut him loose at the start of the 2014 season including the Dolphins, Ravens and Patriots.
Melvin is once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Melvin appeared in 10 games for the Colts and recorded 36 tackles, three interceptions and 13 pass defenses before landing on the injured reserve. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 19 cornerback out of 121 qualifying players.
