Raiders Have Also Expressed Interest In ILB Brandon Marshall

Mike Klis of 9 News reports that the Raiders have expressed interest in free agent ILB Brandon Marshall.

This comes shortly after Ian Rapoport of NFL Media mentioned that the Raiders are doing work on free agent linebackers and will host Manti Te’o and Aaron Lynch for visits and may also have interest in former Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict, who was released Monday.

The market has been quiet in regards to Marshall over the past week.

Last we heard, the Chargers, Ravens, Cardinals, Jets, and Bengals were interested in Marshall, but there haven’t been any updates since then.

Marshall, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2012. However, he lasted just over a year in Jacksonville before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season and later signed to the Broncos practice squad.

Denver brought Marshall back for the 2016 season on a one-year, restricted tender worth $2.553 million before eventually agreeing to a five-year, $34.553 million contract that includes $20 million guaranteed.

Marshall was set to make a base salary of $6.5 million for the 2019 season when the Broncos declined his option.

In 2018, Marshall appeared in 11 games for the Broncos and recorded 42 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.

We had him featured in our Top 100 Available Free Agents list.
