Pro Football Talk reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers will be adding some depth at cornerback in the form of former Raiders third-round pickย Demarcus Van Dyke.
Van Dyke is known for possessing exceptional speed, but there some concerns regarding his coverage skills. The Raiders have made a number of cuts since Reggie McKenzie took over as the team’s general manager.
Van Dyke is worth taking a chance on, and I’m sure the Steelers feel good about the addition.

Pro Football Talkย reported earlier in the day that the Oaklandย Raiders waived last year’s third-round pick CB Demarcus Van Dyke.
This came shortly after the team signedย Joselio Hanson to play as their nickel corner. It’s honestly a bit surprising to see Oakland move on without Van Dyke, but new GM Reggie McKenize has made a lot of notable cuts since taking over.ย Van Dyke hasย electrifying speed, which is why the Raiders and longtime owner Al Davis drafted him in the first place.ย ย I’m sureย Van Dyke will catch on with another team in the coming days.
