Raiders Place CB D.J. Hayden On Injured Reserve

The Oakland Raiders have placed CB D.J. Hayden on season-ending injured reserve Friday, according to Vic Tafur.

Hayden’s year ends after suffering a hamstring injury.

Hayden, 26, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick back in 2013. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $10.28 million rookie contract that included $8.048 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season to go along with a $1.1 million roster bonus.

The Raiders declined to pick up his fifth-year option back in April, which means he’ll be an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2016, Hayden has appeared in 11 games for the Raiders and recorded 37 tackles, a forced fumble, no interceptions and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 100 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.
