The Oakland Raiders officially released DT Justin Ellis from injured reserve on Tuesday.
Ellis, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2014. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and was set to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career before agreeing to a three-year extension worth over $15 million last year.
The Raiders placed Ellis on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with a knee injury.
In 2018, Ellis appeared in six games and recorded seven tackles and no sacks.
