Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Crawley, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and returned to New Orleans this past April on an exclusive rights contract.
Crawley was waived by the Saints a few months ago and later claimed by the Dolphins. Miami waived him with an injury designation a few months ago and he was later waived from injured reserve.
In 2019, Crawley appeared in five games for the Saints and Dolphins and recorded six tackles and no interceptions.
