According to Howard Balzer, the Oakland Raiders brought in four free agent receivers for tryouts on Friday including Brice Butler, Pharoh Cooper, Tyron Johnson, and Anthony Ratliff-Williams.
Cooper, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.89 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.
Los Angeles waived Cooper last December and he was later claimed by the Cardinals. He was once again cut loose this past August and claimed by the Bengals.
Cincinnati waived Cooper earlier in the week.
In 2018, Cooper has appeared in seven games and totaled 277 kick return yards and 12 punt return yards for the Rams and Cardinals.
Butler, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He spent two years in Oakland before he was traded to the Cowboys for the 2015 season.
The Cowboys re-signed Butler to a one-year contract in 2017 and he finished out the season in Dallas. Butler joined the Cardinals back in April on a two-year contract, but was cut loose coming out of the preseason.
Butler returned to the Cowboys for a brief stint last year before catching on with the Dolphins.
In 2018, Butler appeared in eight games for the Cowboys and Dolphins and caught six passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.
