Rams Could Field Offers For RB Zac Stacy?

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Rams have likely fielded trade offers for second-year RB Zac Stacy in recent days.

La Canfora mentions that with Stacy falling out of favor in the Rams’ offense last week, St. Louis could at least see what’s available to them.

Stacy didn’t receive a single carry during last weekend’s win over the Seahawks, which is rather concerning for a guy who many believed would be the team’s long-term solution at running back.

The Rams’ coaching staff has downplayed the concerns about Stacy’s role. However, rookie Tre Mason and Benny Cunningham have both looked much better than Stacy this year, so it wouldn’t hurt to see what they could get for Stacy before Tuesday’s deadline.

Stacy, 23, still has three years remaining on his rookie contract at very reasonable salaries. So far this season, he has ran for 240 yards on 61 carries (3.9 YPC) and scored one touchdown.

We’ll have more updates regarding potential trades as the news is available.
