Rams Place C Scott Wells On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have placed C Scott Wells on season-ending injured reserve with a fractured fibula.

Wells, 32, has been a pretty big disappointment since he signed with St. Louis back in 2012. The Rams gave him a four-year contract worth $24 million that also included $13 million guaranteed. He has another two years remaining on his contract with base salaries of $5.5 million.

Wells has played in only 13 games since joining the Rams and given their current cap situation, he could end up being a release candidate in the coming months.
