According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams are planning to place CB Aqib Talib on injured reserve due to his rib injury.
Schefter says that Talib could be a candidate to be designated to return later on in the season.
Talib, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2008. He spent four years in Tampa Bay before joining the Patriots in 2012.
The Broncos later signed him to a six-year, $57 million contract that includes $26 million guaranteed before trading him to the Rams last year for a fifth-round pick.
Talib stands to make a base salary of $8 million for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Talib has appeared in five games for the Rams and recorded 14 tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses.
