Rams Reportedly Haven’t Heard From RB Tre Mason In 7 Months

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Adam Caplan, the Rams haven’t heard from RB Tre Mason in seven months and are unsure when they’ll see him.

On Tuesday, Rams officials said Tuesday that they’ve attempted to contact Mason several times without success. Los Angeles has spoken to Mason’s family and his agent, Bus Cook, but haven’t been able to get any answers about his condition or his whereabouts.

Right now, we’re more concerned with Tre Mason’s well-being than we are his football career,” Rams HC Jeff Fisher told reporters last weekend. “We’re going to continue to try to reach him to see where he’s at.”

The Rams officially placed Mason on the Reserve/Did Not Report list Saturday.

TMZ reported a few weeks ago that Mason has been involved in five different incidents in which police were called to his Florida home in the past four months, and his family is “extremely concerned” about him.

According to the report, Mason’s family is worried about his mental health and concerned for his personal safety. His family has pointed to a string of bizarre behavior and angry outbursts that have occurred over the past few months.

Mason has reportedly agreed to check into a facility to resolve the situation and has never been accused of hurting anyone.

Mason, 22, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,980,938 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $641,146 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Mason appeared in 13 games for the Rams and ran for 207 yards on 75 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with 18 receptions for 88 yards receiving and one total touchdown.

We’ll have more regarding Mason as the news is available.
