Rams Rookie LB Josh Forrest “Feared” To Have Torn ACL, Getting MRI Today

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Rams rookie LB Josh Forrest is “feared” to have a torn ACL. Forrest will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the severity of his knee injury.

However, should the tests confirm that he has a torn ACL, he would be out for the year and likely placed on injured reserve in the coming days.

Forrest, 24, was taken in the sixth round of this year’s NFL draft by the Rams. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $2.47 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Forrest has appeared in 10 games and recorded nine tackles, no sacks, a fumble recovery and a pass defense for the Rams.

We’ll have more regarding Forrest’s injury as the news is available.
