Rams Rumors: Albert Haynesworth, Sam Bradford, Brandon Lloyd

Albert Haynesworth

New Rams head coach Jeff Fisher kept the door open for possibly signing beleaguered veteran Albert Haynesworth, according to Jim Wyatt.

Interestingly enough, Fisher has the Rams have already discussed the move but he gave no indications beyond that they would be signing him in the future.

It’s worth noting that Haynesworth’s best season’s in the NFL came in Tennessee while playing for Fisher so there’s always the chance that he could be brought in to help their interior defensive line.

Sam Bradford

Fisher shot down any speculation that they could be looking to trade QB Sam Bradford by saying that it’s “not an option,” per Nancy Gay.

Some had suggested that the Rams may keep the #2 overall pick and draft Robert Griffin III but that was a purely speculative idea. Trading away Bradford seems impossible when you consider that St Louis would be looking at a ridiculous cap hit considering the guaranteed money left on Bradford’s contract.

Brandon Lloyd

Jeff Fisher did mention that they’ll consider making an effort to retain WR Brandon Lloyd, per Grant Paulsen.

St Louis has already been reportedly interesting in adding multiple receivers during the offseason and losing Lloyd would increase their interest.  Lloyd has already said that he’s open to returning but it will most likely come down to what the Rams are willing to pay him.
