Rams Sign DT Marcus Forston, Waive Rookie RB Terrence Franks

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that the Rams have signed DT Marcus Forston and placed RB Terrence Franks on waivers in a subsequent roster move.

Forston, 25, originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2012. He later signed on New England’s practice squad three times before signing a future/reserve contract with the team back in January of last year, but was waived a few weeks before the start of the season.

Forston last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season while playing for the Patriots. That year, he recorded three tackles over the course of four games.
