Kovacs, 26, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May of 2013. He spent over a year in Miami before signing on to the Eagles’ practice squad in October of 2014.
After returning to the Dolpihns for the 2015 season, Kovacs signed a future/reserve contract with the Chiefs this past January. Kansas City elected to cut him loose a few weeks after this year’s draft.
In 2015, Kovacs appeared in 11 games for the Dolphins and recorded three tackles and a sack.
