Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Rams and WR Cooper Kupp have made “significant progress” on a “large” contract extension.
Rapoport says there’s a “real chance” a deal could be finalized before Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
Mike Garafolo adds that a deal did not seem likely earlier in the week before things changed.
Kupp, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2017. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.83 million contract and set to make a base salary of $961,169 for the 2020 season.
In 2019, Kupp appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and caught 94 passes for 1,161 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.
Weโll have more regarding Kupp as the news is available.
