Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey is optimistic that running Rashad Jennings will play this week as the team gets ready to take on the Colts, per Ryan O’Halloran of The Florida Times-Union.
โ[Britton] and [Jennings] have the best chance of playing,โ Mularkey said, via O’Halloran.
If Jennings is active against the Colts, expect him to back up Maurice Jones-Drew. Jennings will more than likely be used as the Jaguars third-down back, however, it wouldn’t be a shocker if Jones-Drew saw most of the team’s third-down snaps as he played all but two offensive plays in the team’s 27-7 loss to the Texans.
