Update:
The Baltimore Ravens announced that they have officially placed C Matt Skura on season-ending injured reserve.
Ian Rapoport reports that the Ravens are signing C Jake Brendel to a contract to replace Brendel.
According to Mike Garafolo, Ravens C Matt Skura will miss the remainder of the 2019 season with a knee injury.
Skura was carted off the field from Week 12’s Monday night game against the Rams after suffering a knee injury. It’s a significant loss for the Ravens.
Skura, 26, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May of 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad before returning to Baltimore on a future/reserve contract the following offseason.
He was eventually promoted to Baltimore’s active roster in September of 2017 and has re-signed two consecutive one-year, exclusive rights contracts.
In 2019, Skura has appeared in 12 games and Pro Football Focus rates him as the No. 11 overall center out of 36 qualifying players.
