Ravens Claim DB Kai Nacua Off Waivers From Browns

The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they’ve claimed DB Kai Nacua off of waivers from Browns.

Nacua, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May of last year. Unfortunately, Nacua was cut loose last week as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players but was later added to the Browns’ practice squad and eventually called up soon after.

Nacua stands to make a base salary of $555,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Nacua appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 14 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.

During college career at BYU, Nacua recorded 165 tackles, 14 interceptions with two behind returned for touchdowns, 12 pass defenses, a forced fumble and a recovery over the course of 38 games and four seasons.
