Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Ravens are in fact signing veteranย CB Derek Cox to a contract.
- Wilson adds that Cox visited with the team on Tuesday and is expected to play against the Saints in the preseason finale.
- Cox receives a one-year contract worth $730,000, according to Wilson.

Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Ravens are expected to take a look at recently released CBย Derek Cox.
Cox, 27, was a free agent bust signingย made by the Chargersย last season. Cox receivedย aย four-year contract worth $20 million that included $10.25 million guaranteed from San Diego, but was released after one season.
The Vikings took a chance on him a few weeks after he was released by the Chargers, but he wasreleased on Monday as they began trimming their roster to 75 players.
Last year, Cox appeared in all 16 games, but totaled justย 38 tacklesย and an interception.ย Pro Football Focusย rated Cox as the No. 104 cornerback in the league out of 110 qualifying players last year.
