Ravens G Kelechi Osemele Could Be Entering His Final Season In Baltimore

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sunย writes that Ravensย G Kelechi Osemeleย could be entering his final season in Baltimore.

Osemele is entering the final year of his contract could prove to beย too expensive for the Ravensย to sign him to a long-term contract next year after they address fellow Gย Marshal Yanda, whoย is also set to be an unrestricted free agent.

Wilson, citing NFL sources, reports thatย Osemele is unlikely to offerย the Ravens a hometown discount over the next year.

According to Wilson,ย Osemele has been impressive in OTA practices and is coming off of a very solid season for the Ravens.

As of now, no deals are imminent for Yanda or Osemele, but Wilson mentions that the Ravens are likely toย re-sign Yanda whileย Osemele test the open market.

Osemele, 25, was taken in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Ravens. He has one year remaining on hisย four-year, $3.34 millionย rookieย contractย and stands to make a base salary ofย $846,255 for the 2015 season.

In 2014,ย appeared in 14 games for the Ravens and was rated byย Pro Football Focus as the No. 6 guardย out of 78 qualifying players.
