Ravens G Kelechi Osemele Could Be Entering His Final Season In Baltimore

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun writes that Ravens G Kelechi Osemele could be entering his final season in Baltimore.

Osemele is entering the final year of his contract could prove to be too expensive for the Ravens to sign him to a long-term contract next year after they address fellow G Marshal Yanda, who is also set to be an unrestricted free agent.

Wilson, citing NFL sources, reports that Osemele is unlikely to offer the Ravens a hometown discount over the next year.

According to Wilson, Osemele has been impressive in OTA practices and is coming off of a very solid season for the Ravens.

As of now, no deals are imminent for Yanda or Osemele, but Wilson mentions that the Ravens are likely to re-sign Yanda while Osemele test the open market.

Osemele, 25, was taken in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Ravens. He has one year remaining on his four-year, $3.34 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $846,255 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, appeared in 14 games for the Ravens and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 6 guard out of 78 qualifying players.
