Ravens Trading For Rams CB Marcus Peters

Update:

The Los Angeles Rams announced that they’ve officially traded CB Marcus Peters to the Ravens for LB Kenny Young and a 2020 fifth-round pick.

Ian Rapoport reports that the Rams have, in fact, traded CB Marcus Peters to the Ravens on Tuesday.

  • Rob Parker was first to report that Rams were trading Peters to the Ravens.
  • According to Jay Glazer, the Rams will receive LB Kenny Young in the trade for Peters.

Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Ravens have been in talks with the Rams about a trade for CB Marcus Peters. If a deal is finalized, Zrebiec says it will be a player-for-player trade.

Peters, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2015. The Rams acquired him from the Chiefs in exchange for a 2018 fourth- and 2019 second-round pick.

Peters was entering the final year of his four-year, $9.584 million contract and set to make a base salary of $1,741,932 for the 2018 season when the Rams picked up his fifth-year option last year. He’ll now make a base salary of $9,069,000 for the 2019 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

In 2019, Peters has appeared in six games for the Rams and recorded 14 tackles, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses.
