Ravens Picking Up CB Brandon Carr’s Option

Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Ravens are picking up CB Brandon Carr‘s option for the 2018 season.

Carr, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2008. After four years in Kansas City, Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million contract that included $25.5 million guaranteed with the Cowboys in 2012.

Last year, Carr signed a four-year, $24 million contract with the Ravens and he now stands to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Carr appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 56 tackles, four interceptions and 12 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 69 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.
