Ravens QB Joe Flacco Officially Doubtful To Play In Week 11

Update:

The Baltimore Ravens officially list QB Joe Flacco as doubtful for Week 11’s game against the Bengals with a hip injury.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports continues to hear that Ravens QB Joe Flacco is “very unlikely” to play in Sunday’s game against the Bengals, barring a “very unexpected, last-minute, Willis Reed-like situation.”

Flacco has been prescribed rest for his recovery from a hip injury.

La Canfora mentions that rookie QB Lamar Jackson is in line to get the first start of his career.

Jackson returned to practice on Friday after missing Thursday’s session due to an illness. The Ravens had Robert Griffin III take all of the first-team reps on Thursday, so it’s likely he’ll be able active for the first time this season.

Flacco, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2008. He’s currently in the third year of a six-year, $125 million contract that contained $44 million guaranteed. He is set to make a base salary of $12 million this season to go along with another $18.5 million (2019), $20.25 (2020) million, $24.25 million (2021).

In 2018, Flacco has appeared in nine games and completed 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,465 yards to go along with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions for the Ravens. He has also rushed for 45 yards.

We’ll have more regarding the Ravens as the news is available.
