Hurst, 28, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina back in 2014. He signed a one-year deal through 2016 and received a four-year, $17.5 million extension that included $8 million guaranteed back in 2017.
He was entering the third year of his contract and set to earn a base salary of $4 million next season.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Hurst creates $2,750,000 in cap space and $2,500,000 in dead money.
In 2019, Hurst appeared in all 16 games and started two for the Ravens as a backup.
