Ravens Signing LB Jake Ryan

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Ravens are signing LB Jake Ryan to a contract on Saturday.

Ryan played in just two games with the Jaguars after coming over as a free agent from the Packers, making this a relatively easy decision for Jacksonville. The team also declined DT Marcell Dareus‘ option to free up cap space.

Ryan, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He was placed on injured reserve in August of 2018 with a torn ACL and missed the entire season as he recovered.

Ryan signed a contract with Jacksonville last March as an unrestricted free agent. He started the season on the non-football injury list and played in only two games for Jacksonville this season, recording no stats.

Jacksonville declined Ryan’s option this offseason, making him an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Ryan appeared in 15 games for the Packers and recorded 81 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a recovery.
