Ravens Still In Talks With TE Eric Ebron

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens are still in talks with free agent TE Eric Ebron about a potential deal. Although, Zrebeic adds that there are some other teams in the mix for him.

On Thursday,ย Adam Schefter reported that Ebronย is scheduled to visit the Panthers, Colts and Patriots in the coming days, so there appears to be a solid market for him right now.

It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Ebron, 24, was taken with the No. 10 overall pick by the Lions back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $12.249 million rookie contract and made a base salary of $1,590,337 for the 2017 season.

The Lions elected to pick up his fifth-year option last April, which would have cost them around $8,250,000ย for the 2018 season but was guaranteed only for injury. However, the Lions released Ebron in a move that will free up $8.25 millionย of available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2017, Ebron appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and caught 53 passes for 574 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
