The Baltimore Ravens announced Monday that they’ve waived LB Mason McKenrick and FB Ricky Ortiz and signed WR Janarion Grant and DE Myles Humphrey to contracts.
Ortiz, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Ravens cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
The Ravens placed him on injured reserve list before cutting him loose a few weeks later and eventually bringing him back in November.
During his college career at Oregon State, Ortiz recorded 47 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and an interception over the course of 27 games.
