Re-Signing NT Al Woods One Of Titans’ Top Priorities This Offseason

According to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, the Titans have made re-signing impending free agent NT Al Woods one of the team’s top priorities this offseason.

Woods stepped in for DT Sammie Hill for the first six games of the season because of a lingering MCL injury that kept Hill out of activity.

Given that Hill is also an impending free agent, this could reveal Tennessee’s plans to move on from him.

Woods, 28, was selected by the Saints in the fourth-round of the 2010 NFL Draft, but only lasted until September before being released. He signed a two-year, $5 million deal with the Titans back in 2014 after having stints with the Buccaneers and Steelers.

In 2015, Woods appeared in 14 games and accumulated  22 total tackles. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 45 overall defensive tackle out of 70 qualifying players.

We will provide more information regarding Woods and the Titans as the news becomes available.
