Redskins WR Robert Davis Out For Season With Broken Leg, Torn LCL

Update:

Ian Rapoport reports that Redskins WR Robert Davis is out for the season with a broken leg and torn LCL.

You can expect the Redskins to place Davis on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

According to Mike Garafolo, initial tests on Redskins WR Robert Davis‘ knee have the team concerned he suffered a torn ACL.

Davis is undergoing an MRI to determine the severity of the injury later tonight, but this would be the third Washington player to sustain a season-ending ACL tear in the past few days if confirmed.

Davis, 23, is a sixth-round pick by the Redskins out of Georgia State in the 2017 NFL Draft. He is entering the second year of his four-year, $2.53 million rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $555,000 this season.

He has appeared in one career game for Washington.

During his four-year college career, Davis recorded 222 receptions for 3,391 yards receiving (15.3 YPC) and 17 touchdowns.
