Redskins QB Case Keenum Dealing With Foot Injury

Redskins QB Case Keenum did not practice on Wednesday, due to a foot injury.

Meanwhile, Redskins QB Colt McCoy returned to practice and was able to put in a full practice.

Washington could turn to rookie QB Dwayne Haskins if Keenum is unable to suit up in Week 4 and they McCoy isn’t ready to return to the starting lineup.

Keenum, 31, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Houston back in 2013. He spent two years with the Texans before he was claimed off of waivers by the Rams.

Keenum later returned to the Texans before being traded back to the Rams for a 2016 seventh-round pick. The Rams used a first-round tender on Keenum that paid him $3.635 million for the 2016 season.

After spending a year with the Vikings, Keenum agreed to a two-year, $36 million contract that included $25 million guaranteed with the Broncos last year. However, the Broncos later traded him to the Redskins this past March.

In 2019, Keenum has appeared in three games and completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 933 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

Weโ€™ll have more regarding Keenum as the news is available.
