Field Yates of ESPN reports that Redskins S Su’a Cravens has officially been reinstated by the NFL on Wednesday.
Cravens applied to for reinstatement into the NFL after spending the 2017 season on the reserve/left squad list on Monday, which appears to be an obvious sign he’s looking to return.
A few months ago, Adam Schefter reported that Cravens received medical clearance to resume all football activities and plans to play next season.
There are going to be questions about whether the Redskins will want him back after he walked away from the team, which could lead to him possibly being available for trade this offseason.
Cravens, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $4.430 million contract that included $2.523 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $450,000 and $651,408 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2016, Cravens appeared in 11 games for the Redskins and recorded 34 tackles, one sack, an interception and five pass defenses. Cravens was limited to playing 294 total snaps last year.
