The Washington Redskins announced that they have signed DE Clifton Geathers to a contract on Thursday.

Geathers, 26, spent last season with the Eagles after he cam over in a trade with the Colts for FB Stanley Havili.
Last year, Geathers appeared in 16 games, but was limited to playing just 254 snaps. He is a solid run-defender who could give the Redskins some depth at defensive end next year.
