Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that the Redskins are still fielding trade inquiries for the No. 2 overall pick as of this morning.
According to Anderson, one team has laid out a “complete deal” for the Redskins pick.
An NFL GM from a team drafting in the top-7 picks tells Anderson that he has been calling multiple times trying to get Chase Young on the phone for a 1-on-1 entering this week.
It’s not surprising that Washington has at least been listening to offers for their first-round pick in the event a team steps up with a big offer. However, it’s going to take quite a bit for the Redskins to trade out of their spot and pass on OSU DE Chase Young, who is likely to be there at No. 2 overall.
Typically, teams are looking to trade up for quarterbacks, but it remains to be seen if either the Dolphins or Chargers are willing to go this route for Tua Tagovaiola or Justin Herbert.
Unless a team is looking to get Young, the Lions appear to be in a better position to trade down in round one.
Weโll have more regarding the Redskins and potential trades as the news is available.
