The Washington Redskins announced Friday that they’ve waived RB Martez Carter, OL Cameron Jefferson, and RB Elijah Wellman from injured reserve with settlements.
Carter, 25, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Grambling State back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Redskins and stands to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season.
The Redskins waived Carter with an injury designation last Saturday and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.
During his four-year college career at Grambling State, Carter rushed for 2,628 yards on 396 carries (6.6 YPC) to go along with 74 receptions for 961 yards receiving and 38 total touchdowns over the course of 48 games.
