Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Redskins are signingย veteran Cย John Sullivanย to a contract on Tuesday.
- Mike Garafoloย reported earlier that the Redskins were bringing Sullivan for a workout.
- According to Garafolo, it’s possible thatย Kory Lichtensteiger‘s calf injury could lead to him being placed on injured reserve, so they may need to add a center in the coming days.
Sullivan, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2008. He had twoย years remaining on his six-year, $25.6 million contractย when the Vikings cut him loose after they were unable to find a trade partner.
Sullivan missed all of 2015, due to multiple back surgeries.
In 2014, Sullivan appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings.ย Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 12 centerย out of qualifying players.
