Ian Rapoport reports that Buccaneers S Dashon Goldson underwent offseason ankle surgery and will now miss all of the team’s spring workouts.
- Rapoport adds that Tampa Bay is hoping to have Goldson back in time for training camp.
Goldson, 29, came over the come the 49ers two years ago when he signed a five-year, $41.25 million contract that included $22 million guaranteed. He has a $6 million base salary to go along with a $3 million roster bonus in 2014.
In his first year with the Bucs, Goldson appeared in 13 games and totaled 71 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and a recovery.
Pro Football Focus has Goldson rated as the No. 81 safety in league out of 86 qualifying players, so he’ll hopefully be able to rebound once he’s healthy.
