Report: Cal WR Keenan Allen Red Flagged For A Drug Test At The Combine

ESPN’sย Adam Schefterย reports thatย California WR Keenan Allen was red-flagged for a drug test at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine.

  • According to Schefter, Allen was given another drug test in recent weeks, but the results are currently unknown.
  • Allen’s agent, JT Johnson, has since denied that his client failed a drug test at the Combine.
  • Johnson added that the recent drug test was strictly related to his ankle and knee injuries and nothing to do with a drug test.

Johnson told Pro Football Talk that he has not been notified about his clientโ€™s test results.

โ€œWe have received no notifications. None,โ€ Johnson said Tuesday afternoon.

Allen entered the draft process as one of the top receivers in this year’s draft class, but his recovery from a knee injury along with poorย forty times of 4.71 and 4.75 appear to have had a negative impact on his draft stock.

There’s still a chanceย he gets taken in round one, but it’s by no means a guarantee at this point.

We have Allen going to the Texans at No. 27 overall in our recent 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
