Cardinals Sign RT Eric Winston

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the the Cardinals have reached an agreement with RT Eric Winston on a one-year deal.

We had Winston listed as the No. 2 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Cardinals are closing in on a one-year deal with free agent RT Eric Winston.

• PFT adds that a deal could be finalized in the next 24 hours. 

Winston, 29, was released by the Chiefs early on in free agency, but hasn’t found a lot of serious interest from NFL teams. This year’s free agent class included a number of offensive tackle options, which likely factored into the offers Winston was receiving.

The Cardinals currently have Bobby Massie, Levi Brown and Nate Potter on their roster, but adding Winston would at least provide them with some depth or allow them to part with someone like Brown.
