According toย Dan Pompei of the Bleacher Report, the Jacksonville Jaguars are also willing to trade down in this year’s draft.
- Pompei confirms that the Texans and Rams have both made their picks available.
Anย NFL executive tellsย Pompei that the Jaguars have made it known around the league that their No. 3 overall pick could be available.
Pompei concedes that any team with interest in possibly trading up wouldn’t do so with knowing who would be available to them at No. 3.
Ryan O’Halloranย spoke with a source regarding who the Jaguars might be targeting should they keep the pick.ย
Interestingly enough,ย O’Halloranย source mentioned that Texas A&M LT Jakeย Matthews could be someone to watch.
Jacksonville drafted Matthews teammate, Luke Joeckel, last year, and while they could use some help at right tackle, it would be a little surprising to see them go with Matthews at No. 3 overall.
We have the Jaguars taking Buffalo LB Khalil Mack in our most recently 2014 NFL Mock Draft.

If the Lions trade up to the Jags and give the Jags # 10, 76, and 189 and the Jags give the Lions #3 and 205, it’s pretty much even.
Actually that “even” trade isn’t fair according to the NFL Draft value chart. The Jags would be giving up 2209.4 pts, while Detroit would be giving up 1525.8. There is not enough value coming back to the Jags for that trade to work.
it’s pretty much even.
You must be a Lion’s fan then because the Jags are giving up way to much for that trade to work.
not a fan lions sir
Yet still wrong……
