Update:ย
Tom Pelissero ofย USA Todayย reports that Packers TEย Jermichael Finleyย still hasnโt received medical clearance, but he has scheduled “multiple” visits next week.
Previous reports have indicated that theย Chiefs, Giants,ย Jets,ย Seahawksย andย Steelersย all have some amount of interest in Finley.
Finley’sย agent,ย Blakeย Baratz, also said that the doctor whoย performed Finley’s fusionย surgery believes he will have aย โ99.9%โ chance of a full recovery.
Finley, 26, has already made it known that he has no intention of taking a reduced salary, despite concerns regarding his future health, but with a decent amount of interest, there is chance he could do better than I would have expected a few months ago.
We have Finley tentativelyย listed as the No. 41 player in ourย Top 50 Free Agents list.

Ben Volin of the Boston Globeย reports that Packers’ free agent TEย Jermichael Finley is drawing interest from a number of NFL teams, even though he has yet to be officially cleared following a neck procedure.
According to Volin, the list of interested teams includes: theย Chiefs, Giants,ย Jets,ย Seahawks andย Steelers.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sportsย reported a few weeks ago that aย “healthy market”ย is former for Finley,ย so this would obviously confirm that.
The free agent class of tight ends is really without a top-tier option, unless someone is willing to give up two first-round picks and then sign Saints’ TE Jimmy Graham to a monster contract. With this in mind, Finley is in a good position to do pretty well for himself as long as he’s cleared to play.
