Report: Lions Shopping Around For A Starting-Caliber WR

Jason La Canfora reports that the Detroit Lions are in the process of making calls to acquire a starting-caliber wide receiver.

Many expected second-year receiver Ryan Broyles to setup and be the team’s No. 2 wideout this season, but he was running with the second-team offense during Thursday’s preseason game.

Detroit still has veteran Nate Burleson and second-year WR Patrick Edwards on their roster, but it appears as though they aren’t comfortable with their current group.

La Canfora lists the Bengals and Falcons as two teams who could have some receivers available for trade. La Canfora admits that there appears to be more demand than overall supply.
