Raiders Sign DE Justin Tuck

———-

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders are signing former Giants DE Justin Tuck.

  • Schefter adds that Tuck receives a two-year contract worth $11 million.
  • Tuck reportedly gave the Giants an opportunity to improve their offer, but apparently they passed on doing so.

The Raiders had to add some talent to their defensive line and Tuck is coming off of a strong season and has said that he intends to play with a grudge after finding a cold market in recent days. We’ll have to see if that translates to anything.

Oakland could still be in on OLB LaMarr Woodley and DT Jason Hatcher.

Tuck, 30, put together a very solid season, despite the Giants overall struggles this year. Pro Football Focus has Tuck rated as the No. 7 4-3 defensive end and he produced 57 tackles, nine sacks, a forced fumble and an interception this season.

We have Tuck listed as the No. 30 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
